More and more I am getting pop ups from software I bought and paid for trying to sell me something extra, or offer me money to refer their product to a friend etc, one offered me a free month of Adobe cloud to refer a friend, you can normally get a free month with Adobe when you sign up, not that I want it, one of my CCTV camera app now forces me to watch a minute Temu advert before I can view the camera, so that will be going in the bin soon
 
Tell me about it, I have to click past adverts every time on my kitchen TV just to watch standard terrestrial TV which really annoys me. That said I pretty much only watch Heartbeat on ITV3 on permanent loop so I'd probably be better just watching the DVD set!!!!
 
With software theres usually a small hidden tickbox to opt out of things when installing it...
While we mention being forced to watch ads -> how about ads on youtube these days... they do my head in and I refuse to pay them.
