The Simpsons has been running for 34 years and if it continues until 2026 will overtake LOTSW as the longest running comedy in the world
LOTSW ran for 295 episodes which makes it the UK comedy with the most episodes unsurprisingly
Again The Simpsons eclipses this with over 750 episodes and counting as comedy with the most episodes in the world
Surprisingly Chucklevision (a comedy close to my heart
), was very close in terms of most episodes for a UK comedy, 292 only 3 short of LOTSW it ran from 1989 - 2009
The 3rd & 4th UK comedies in terms of most episodes are a long way behind the 1st & 2nd with Harrys TV Burp & The Army Game with 161 & 154 episodes respectively
