I have a new favourite chippy.
We have just got back from a camping trip in Little Hucklow in the Peak District. While we were there we visited Tideswell and after a few sherries we visited Elliot’s Chippy which during all of my other visits over the years has been closed.
Wow, this place needs to be listed, what a fantastic C4A423DE-4152-4B00-809A-F3A9C52DFCC4.jpeg08A068C2-F397-4F4A-82EC-B0700F29F29D.jpeg95558DA7-EBE1-489D-B04F-151CC9937011.jpegchip shop. The staff are brilliant and the owner puts on a comedy show while you wait that is sadly missing in most other establishments these days.
It took me back to the chippies of the late 70’s and 80’s and the food was great.
If you get the chance to call in make sure you do.
It’s worth a walk around Tideser too especially the church of John the Baptist - the Cathedral of the Peaks.

Oh, I’m not sure, it just took me back a few years. We had great weather plenty of gliders taking off nearby and at one point 17 paragliders floating above us. We survived under canvas and plumped for a basic one tap/ toilet farm site.
