Tonight I caught a programme dealing with 1960's pop music. Two things struck me , one it showed Jimmy Saville " dancing" in the background(you'd have thought with his reputation he'd have been "air brushed" out.) Two, the teenagers were obviously being ushered into camera shot and miserable they looked. They were supposedly seeing their favourite pop stars and ought to have been pleased. :14:
 
He's been air brushed out of most things now. Have you been boogying the night away ?

I think in those days the members of the public were pushed around the studio by the great big cameras they used in those days,so when the camera was heading towards them they often looked fed up with the fact they had to move again
 
Caught another show tonight. It had George Best in the dancing. He didn't look too happy either!! :me: ::)
 
Sounds of the Sixties

You don't remember your own demeanour but for those of you with kids surely you remember that night /day when your little prince/princess go off to bed full of the joy, around 12/13 years of age and they get up the next day this shoe gazing, grunting monster when everything is a chore , they are always tired [even though they've had 10 hours kip and just got up] and they never crack a smile . I imagine that has gone on for time in memoriam its just some of our ages precludes us remembering our own personal experience.:'(:'(
