Strange Sound??

About 12 minutes into Passing The Earring, just
after the lads leave Pearl's door, there is/was a
sound like a distant train whistle or maybe an
air raid siren.

What might it be??

You can hear the sound of the Factory/Works Hooter, the factory used to be across the road from Nora's, long gone and now houses,I have heard this in a couple of episodes over the time
 
As I think 'twas still outside Pearl's door, I'm wondering
if it might have been the hooter (???) from the factory/mill
between Jackson Bridge and Hepworth, rather than
from over by Nora's in Holmfirth. I'll have to check
it out again later today.
