Stuart Fell was the Stunt Arranger on many episodes, but
we just watched Here We Go Into The Wild Blue Yonder
and Stuart Fell is listed in the cast. Looked on IMDB and he's
also listed in the cast of Penny Wassail . Who knew??

Not unusual - at least three of the stunt arrangers, Stuart Fell, Terry Cade and Riky Ash got the odd acting credit. And Denis Mawn, Peter Sallis' double got fourteen acting credits.

I note with pleasure that whilst I was not looking IMDb has extended the total cast list to actors with only one episode credit. Last time I looked it was a minimum of two.

What exactly is the thin line between stunt arranger/stunt double and actor? Or when they were not doing stunts, were they in a scene as a regular actor? Or did the stunt doubles do really difficult stunts like trying to ride a donkey? Or falling off a bicycle made for three?

That question could open up a massive debate cause i'm sure at first they were just brought in for stunts like getting on the moving train and jumping onto mules which are the two obvious but in the late 1980's doubles were used for far away scenes which was suggested by Michael Aldridge and stayed that way till about 2005 or 2006
