The Beatles for £200

I have a reproduced programme from the Royal Hall in Harrogate when they played there in March 1963 so assume that the cost to book them would have been the same . There are pen pictures included but what fascinated me are the support groups Barry Corbett and the Mustangs and Ricky Fenton and the Apaches whatever happened to them did they have any success or fade into obscurity.

Can you imagine just £200 to book the Beatles for a gig, this was 1963 I don't know how much that would be today, the article goes onto to say the support group was The Fortunes who got paid just under £19.00

According to the Bank Of England Inflation Calculator that's around £3,500 - £4,000 in todays money. So on a par with your appearance fee for each of the Summer Wiine episodes you appeared in.
