Is anybody having a little flutter on Saturday?
For what it's worth, my main tip is West End Rocker.
There are a few at bigger prices that I like the look of, but this a real lottery of a race.

I have a bet on this every year without much luck untill two years ago the only winner i ever had was the great West Tip way back in 1986.A.P.Mccoy was jockey
two years ago on don't push it and i came away with 150 pounds. So my bet for this year is Synchronized although i did look at west end rocker.I enjoy racing and this year will be at the Epsom derby for the sixteenth year in a row.Good luck with your bet mate.

Don't think i'll be betting this year not much cash to waste for us now. i did win £85 with Monty's pass about 10 years ago though :)

9 years ago! 33-1 Barry Geraghty...a good shout mate. Finished 4th the year after.
Good luck if you have a bet.

I think Barry Geraghty is on board Shakalakaboomboom this time, a Nicky Henderson trained horse who has e/w chances. A young horse who is ok in the weights, he is on my list as a potential and the yard is in real form.

:o A real lottery of a race! You never said a truer word, ::) Years ago where I worked it was customary to run a sweep, and for you to have a bet on your sweep horse. I happened to pick Foinavon the year he won so I did very nicely thankyou! That was about the only year I came out ahead in the race (I had some short odds winners over the years but nothing to match Foinavon ::)) I shall risk a few bob if my son comes and asks if I want a bet but I've no real idea of what to back!! ???

I may have a flutter after all, going to go for 'West end rocker' 12-1 maybe blow a fiver and put a daft quid on Mon Mome 50-1.

If the rain comes today and tomorrow, then West End Rocker will have a massive chance.

When we were little my dad would give us kids 50p each to bet on the national I bet on Red Rum and won the next year I wanted to bet on it again but dad said, it won't win again trust me it'll never happen :-X so I picked another house. When Red Rum won my dad was gobsmacked :o he looked at me, sat on the floor crying and gave me a sip of his beer and 50p ;D which was a fortune to a little girl back then. The next it was running I wanted to back it again but dad said, no no it defiantly won't win again I promise you it'll never happen, now my dad is sweetest kindest man a daughter would want I would never argue with him but this time I was having non of it and pestered him until he put my 50p on Red Run. I will never forget the look on his face when it won :-[ when he looked at me and said will you ever let me live that down, I said yes ;D and have never spoken to him about it again. Now ever year when this race comes round I think about the and I still remember the joy of having some much money in my hand ;D. Just thought I would share that with you, and wish you all good luck.

Jost been looking at grand national form guide and Rob if it is soft ground West End Rocker is a good shout it's al 14-1 at the moment so if you put any money on it make sure you take the price. Not really sure what i'm going for yet.

Ive already backed it e/w at 25-1 antepost mate.
It's wide open this year. I think Ballabriggs is carrying too much weight this time and Synchronised needs softer ground. Some rain would suit West End Rocker.
Shakalakaboomboom has e/w chances I think.

Lottery is right Dick, West End Rocker fell at the 2nd fence and Shakalakaboomboom was 7th! I officially retire as a tipster!
Well done Happyjack, a good win!

Its such a shame that such magnificent animals like horses have to be put down through injury. I know maybe the animal may never recover properly but surely they could be handled with more care. Its always sad watching the national when you see the black screens propping up on the course, all the money invested in the horse and for it then to be put to sleep is a real shame.
