The Man From Oswestry.

I live not too far from Oswestry, it's a very random place to have Foggy coming from. There was an army base there but I wonder whether Roy Clarke had some connection with it
It probably was the military connection, seeing as Foggy was a trained killer
Blamire mentioned being based in Oswestry too at one time.
Not to go into to fine a detail, in a company I worked for a client called and asked if we could move their telephone system, they were based in Towcester, I asked him where the move was to and I thought he said off west street, so I guessed it would be in the same town and priced the job accordingly, I asked him to give us the full details by fax nearer the time, we were all shocked when it turned out to be Oswestry, what a long day that was
Is that really a true story as it's absolutely hilarious if it is!!!?!!
Oh it's true, my boss was a little upset when I told him we would have to leave about 5am to be there for 8am, then to make matters worse at 2pm we were all ready to test everything and all being well leave around 3pm, when all the power to the building went off, so we found the mains supply and there did not appear to be any problems,then found out the power was off for the whole street, it took a couple of hours for the supply company to get the power back on, I recall us getting home around 10pm
That is brilliant, first time I've ever laughed out loud at a post!!! Bet you never misquoted a job again!!!!!!!!
I did learn my lesson from that experience
Another similar puzzle was one of the staff left a message for us to do a quote, he said the customer was moving to a place called Gatestone, which we could not find and had to wait until Monday to call the customer to discover the correct address was Ingateston in Essex, so the staff member just that he said In Gatestone
