The Wait is Over ...

New video!
This was due to come out about two weeks ago, but as some might have seen, the technology let us down - again!
Lots more to come, although not Summer wine-related videos, but mostly still of interest I hope.

So, make a note, Sunday 16 February 2025, 7:00pm (UK GMT) on my YouTube channel

Roy Clarke, not just a sitcom writer ...

I look forward to seeing this

Another brilliant video, loved every minute of it, we're so lucky to have you keeping the series alive with your different angles on it.

As an idea, I'm sure there would be quite a lot of interest in a video as to what the happened to the actors/what they did next when the series was finished. Those sort of things appear on YT and get a lot of views, but with your depth of knowledge and insight I'm sure you could take the concept to the next level :)

I have too many ideas and not enough time, but that's a definite possibility - especially as YouTube recommended to me "how the stars of SW tragically died" - showing images implying they all met a sticky end.

Brilliant and captivating video thank you Leigh for creating it and for posting . In reference to Barry's idea it could be individual episodes in the style of the old Rock Family Trees that Pete Frame brilliantly produced a good few years back you could do short videos on individual actors a chart their acting history pre /post LOTSW with anecdotes about them from our beloved show.

All good ideas ... now, all I have to do it make them!

Another video that bears all the hallmarks of your previous excellent series Leigh. As Barry states we are incredibly fortunate to get your views in an entertaining but informative fashion allowing fans new and old to discover and reaquaint themselves with old friends of Mr Clarke's works.

My personal favourites are the the Summer Wine Chronicles. They are perfect encapulations of the show and expanded to such an extent you really feel privy to everyone's machinations. The character's voices are as clear as an order from Pearl and jump off the page with hilarious alacrity. I wish there had been more of them. I do have the Chivers audio books but sadly as cassettes they will soon reach an unplayable state.
