The White Horse?

We sometimes go to gigs at the Picturedrome in Holmfirth and either camp at the site up the road in the camper or drive over and back after the gig (45mins drive). Just had a message off someone who had booked b and b at the White Horse for the night only to find it has shut down without any warning!

That sound ominous hope its not true it would be a sad end for this iconic pub but rural pubs and even those in Town Centres are really feeling the pinch and struggle to survive .

We had a pint in there last year and were the only people in, it was grim.

It seems to be open and shut every several months over the last couple of years, it seems who ever goes in to run the place cannot make a go of it, which for any pub must be hard work these days

They've taken the booking money and now can't be contacted through the pub. We shall see what happens.

Sadly as time goes on the memories and consequently the tourists will become fewer and far between. Therefore places like this will struggle......
