I did not know the bit about the actors opting to stay in Huddersfield on days off. What is it about Huddersfield that they would want to not stick around?
 
Would the greengrocers shop be the one that featured in the programme a few times?

Wasn't it run by Jack Harry Teesdale?

I know that eating fast food can get kind of old. My refrigerator's on the blink and we've been doing a lot of fast food. No wonder they loved the meals from Andrew's. And as far as others going to Huddersfield, may be they needed to spread out and chill out; and Huddersfield fit the bill. And Huddersfield has a certain magic. Anytime in British fiction that a character wants to go North, he or she always ends up in Huddersfield.

That's where rail service ends, so you have to switch to bus service to go further North, except for minor commuter services.
