I've just seen what's on the TV over xmas.
If you thought last year was bad your in for a shock. Its even worse this year.

Agree Susan its getting worse every year think I will reading a book this year or down at my shed working on my model railway.

Just looked at the offering form Downton Abbey it looks terrible this show has gone past its sell by date ,will watch Open All Hours as this should be good (supposed to be a series coming) .The boss is working boxing day afternoon so I shall watch my railway dvd,s in peace and LOTSW if its on.

Open All Hours and Last Tango In Halifax are the only 2 programs on I fancy watching and to be honest if next weeks Halifax doesn't improve I don't think I'll be bothering with that! :'(

Talking of being in the shed with the model railway Chris, that is my brother in law's favourite escape. When his wife wants to attract his attention she throws stones at the shed :o :o She claims he has "selective deafness" :o :-\ :-\ :me:

I like the sound of that lady ;D ;D ;D ;D

Dick my wife throws stones at my shed frightens the life out of me!When I get in there I get lost in my own world its great the other day I went up there at two o,clock and when I came out it was dark and seven in the evening.

Do's she swear when she's doing it?? (You're always in the "naffing" shed !!) :o >:( >:(

She actualy likes me to have the shed to escape to but she does watch QVC whilst I am down there so we are both happy : :

In the paper today the listings for xmas and its dire thank god for satellite channels and some good books to read one especialy its about the RNLI crews and volunteers in photos .I shall be getting my scripts written for my talks about the lifeboats ready for next year so that will take up some time over the festive time.

Will disappear into LOSW, anything on WETA UK, and ME TV to avoid crummy TV offerings. ME TV here in the States is a truly wonderful channel with ALL of the shows from the '50's, '60's and 70's.

Yeah, we have pretty much given up on TV offerings here in the states.

We do have many many DVDs of UK TV we have downloaded over the
years. Going to be watching The Sweeney (John Thaw) and The
High Life (Air Scotia) along with HIGNFY and The Paradise. Oh and we
do download The News Quiz with Sandi Toksvig on Fridays as well.

I have been going back thru, and cleaning up, the bazillion old UK
TV shows that we have, and hoping they last us out. There is not
much good happening out there now.
