Hello everyone. I feel with the lack of replies to my last thread that I seem to have been forgotton on this forum. Have I been away too long. I have been ill and not always been able to post. I feel after nearly 4 years that I am not a main player anymore. Maybe I am just being silly. Sorry everyone.
 
Don't feel that way, Amos. I've noticed a lot of people have not been on the site as much lately. It seems like September always brings back busy schedules. I know I've been on less than usual, and when I am, I often just take a quick peek and don't have time to write responses. Hopefully routines will settle down and things can get normal again. And maybe some of the people who spend all their time on the Facebook sites will come back and join in again.

I agree with Marilyn ,Amos. Apparently the Facebook threads are busy lately. Nil Desperandum!
 
Personally I have been rather busy with several things happening all at once, my Daughter is in the process of buying a house locally and that has involved plenty of my time, I have been helping many of the local residents sort out their Windows 10 upgrades, in fact I am off to another one at 10.30 this morning, my own fault as I have run a computer club in the area for the last 4 years

I have been busy on the Facebook groups and it has brought us a few new members to the forum and I do think this time of year people are busy with other things, either holidays as the children have gone back to school, or the parents busy because the children have gone back

I think grandparents have been celebrating after a summer of probably watching their grand children :37::dance: . Chin up Amos please don't feel under-appreciated we all understand what you have been through and everyone is staying positive that you remain well , your continued good health is worth a 100 replies to a thread. In my defence Re Facebook not only do I help with 5 Summer Wine sites, 1 British comedy site, 2 Autism awareness sites, 1 depression and anxiety help site, 1 recycle site I'm also part of the Autism Friendly Birthday Wishes site which gathers up and posts out birthday cards for Autistic children, all that on top of keeping 2 unruly miscreants in check ( who will remain nameless but Terry and John know who I mean) I'm a busy gal. :46: :pc:

I apologize if I unintentionally offended anyone with my Facebook remark. I was referring to a few people who used to be regulars but have not been on the site at all for several weeks now, but are regulars on Facebook. I guess it surprises me because even though Facebook is nice and I enjoy going on it at times, this site is so far superior. I wish we could convince all of them to come over here. This site is so well set up, it is easy to navigate and find what you are looking for. I personally find Facebook interesting to read, but difficult to navigate if you are looking for something specific. I don't mean the Summer Wine sites - I mean all Facebook accounts. If I want to go back to something I read a day or two ago, I just have to scroll through everything. This site makes it easy to keep track of things and find what you are looking for. Our leaders are doing a great job here, and I for one appreciate all they do.

I'm sure on one was offended by it, I love this site but Facebook is where I keep up with family too so I'm on there more and also the Autism pages I help with can be time consuming because for some people its all the help they get. I like to here for peace some times and to annoy Dick of cause.

Alas I don't use Facebook. I have a account but spend most of my time in Hospital either being bored. Watching Summer wine DVDS . On twitter. Or annoying the nurses by playing practical jokes on them. Ha Ha.

Part of my problem - use Facebook as well - and today I counted up that I have nine official volunteer roles. No wonder I do not post on here so much!
