I was just watching a clip on YouTube "Last of the Summer Wine Putting on the Ritz." It's taken from the episode A Short Blast of Fred Astaire. At about 1:40 they are turning around and Pearl's costume fails. The shoulders have been sliding down gradually but at that point they go down completely in the back revealing the underdress - so nothing scandalous, but I'm sure she was glad the number was over before any more came down.
