Jonathan gradually regained much of the weight he had lost, but apparently over a period of years. Initially he was at least this thin. Alan Bell wrote something to the effect that he looked emaciated.
The above photos were the first two to turn up in an internet search. The first one is from a short biography.
Barmpot got in on the act too. Looking very dapper as usual.
Anyone know if at any point Jonathon Linsley was prepared to ever return to the show, if he was ever asked to?
When a show loses a few characters, it's always nice if they can return later, played by the same actors of course, rather than introduce new characters constantly.
It was clear near the end of the show's run the cafe would realistically needed some assistance.
