Was just going through some episodes for the what episode pictures and noticed this

I know Gordon Wharmby was new to acting but for me he was the most natural actor in the show.He made Wesley so real and likeable,he was like a favourite uncle from our childhood.

Wesley reminded me of my late father-in-law. Always tinkering on a sunday morning(he only could afford bangers) and as much in his wifes thrall as Wesley.Also he got the same reaction to a tight collar!! ;D

What, is the man with the glasses really Gordon Wharmby?? I would never have recognised him.

The still is frome between 1973 - 75, Blamire left in 1975, so it could well be a young Gordon!

The glasses-rims, the knot of hair, and that chin say a young
Gordon Wharmby to me!! Wonder how he worked that one out??
