Why am I getting all these emails?

Since my son re- formatted my computer ,I am getting several emails every day promising this that and the other!! I am getting lots promising prize draws etcetera from Morrisons ,Tesco, Sainsburys et al .These all have American addresses. I am deleting them but they are an annoyance. I do not want to let a virus in by clicking on one. I am getting credit card ads and till I downloaded ADGARD I was getting offers from ladies " in my area " for much more than friendship!!

We get daily emails from interactive investor never open them I don't know how we came to start getting them

Ask your son to add that filter which prevents all that stuff from ending up in your inbox. And for all spam, your provider should have a spam report feature.

I am on WINDOWS 10 which apparently do's not have an easy option for Spam filtering.I will have to add each spam to a blocked list . Which with my limited know how may take some time.

When I changed to 10 it didn't alter my emails in anyway, I still get asked if I want Viagra, a Chinese wife and heart meds, from very reliable source apparently! But I was getting those before too. Maybe you should get a new email address and start over and keep the son away from the computer
I also get messages from woman in my area asking for............. Well lets just say things I'm anatomically unequipped for!
Oh and begging letters from someone called Richard whose wife and baby have been arrested in Iran and being held in prison.
I do wonder why they seem to have my gender wrong!

I get them as well Dick also from America. I block each one as they come over and eventually they stop for a few days, and then start again.

Unfortunately there is a lot of junk mail activity at the moment, I find that gmail blocks 99% of it and it goes straight in the spam folder,so I don't see it unless I go look in the spam folder, in time someone will shut the servers down from where is this junk is coming from, but in time it will all start again, just the joys of being on the internet, the one thing you should never ever do is click on unsubscribe, all this does in let the spammers know it is a valid email address and sell that info to other spammers
