I am surprised that given the announced end of last of the summer wine, that some sort of campaign has not been initiated to get the BBC to reverse its decision.
Eg BBC proudly announce that the proms has attracted some 12 million viewers over the season, interesting since it is on most nights!! Simple maths says that there is less than 2 million watching at each broadcast. LotSW 3.5 million averages. So what other comedy programming is aimed at the older population? NONE! come on its our BBC lets make sure they give us what we want, and not what they want to be seen to be giving, namely programmes for the High Brow influential minorities who appreciate the Proms.
