The answers was given by Ferret and Roger had more of the answer, the words in the song Meet the Wife referred to a TV show in the 60's of the same name, which Thora starred in

I could see Dame Thora speaking the words of Being for the Benefit of Mr Kite in a Talking Heads type delivery punctuated with "you see" and going off at a tangent when talking about the Hendersons and Pablo Fanque.
