    I was in Saltburn last year and will be next week as staying in Whitby and will use the ol' bus pass to travel up on a day trip . Sadly the Funicular was still being repaired last year but I believe it is back in service and is a must...

    I'm just back from a mini break in Whitby can recommend a trip there and Staithes but avoid Scarborough well the front didn't help that the Funicular was out of order so walk down and up was a tad torturous but it simply was not worth...

    We had one in the mid-to-late-1970s. I only vaguely remember when as I know we we moved in or a bit before 1973. It was nothing like Aunties shop van, just an ordinary Bedford panel van, I guess it had a side door - but I do remember...

    I remember staying in a house near St Just in Cornwall in the early 70's, it belonged to one of my wife's Aunt and Uncle, it certainly was an experience, overnight they still did mine blasting which shook the house, a nearby lighthouse...
