I do often think Auntie Wainwright was sort of a replacement on Arkwright, because Ronnie Barker had retired from acting in the late 1980s, and I think Open All Hours wouldn't have ever thought of being brought back.

I certainly think of Roy Clarkes creations S/OAH has the most similarities to Summer Wine, I think Roy perhaps recycled some of his unused LOTSW scripts in Still Open All Hours. A cross over would have been really funny, I'd love to...
