Up until about 2 years ago my daily medication was easy and simple..... 2 blood pressure tablets in the morning and the same in the evening....

Then it seems that every month since, the Doctors added another tablet to the list, and the image below DOES NOT include the two new medications I have to start on this coming Monday!

Good grief, that looks like my regimen, except that I have a couple of inhalers prescribed for twice a day.

Thanks Barry I was aware that the Count is touring a Christmas Carol he is at the same Theatre I saw him earlier in the year but sadly I am away and will miss the date . The show we both saw earlier in the year is now available from his site to buy, rent/download.

He's also touring again with the same production at the end of 2025 which have just been announced not sure if that is what you referring to?

If you can, exercise. In general there are two modes of exercise and that is to lift weights, and to use a bicycle (stationary or regular), The Big E is it!!! There are many studies on general health and the bottom line has always been the same. YOU MUST EXERCISE.

I had an issue with arthritis in my knee earlier this year the TIMS people suggested exercise and my first thought was you are having a laugh how will that help when I am struggling to walk and how can you undertake exercise when you have pain, but they proved me wrong. I attended a bi-weekly Escape Pain exercise class an hour long and boy has it helped I walk pretty much pain free and it has really helped , thankfully my scepticism was unfounded.

I have major difficulty staying with an exercise program unless I enjoy that particular exercise. I might have less difficulty if I saw results from it, though. The only one I've ever enjoyed has been walking, outside when the weather isn't too awful and inside on a high-tech treadmill with my current book propped up on the built-in bookrest.

That's interesting, I'll look into that.

Walking outside and using the treadmill is your exercise program! When I was working, I would spend my lunchtime walking in the gardens of the Smithsonian and occasionally observing the ducks at the Native American Museum. This entailed a lot of walking!

Not sure if the TIMS [Tyneside Integrated Musculoskeletal Services] which is clearly Tyneside centric has a similar organisation in your area Pearl . The medical centres and Doctors surgeries refer patients with arthritic and muscular problems straight to this service to deal with the issues . They organise these short courses , in my case Escape Pain with a bi-weekly Next Steps course available to continue the specific exercises , presented in a number of local gyms .

The Escape pain course was twice a week for 6 weeks and was free, with walking my only exercise I would never describe myself as a gym bunny but the course was perfect for me not too strenuous but active enough to greatly help manage my condition . I know there is an escape pain app on phones which you could take a look at but whilst its good I found being involved in a group face to face with a trainer was far superior. Hopefully you can find something locally Pearl , hope this helps.
