Not far from me is Cottam Power Station which has been closed for several years, bit by bit they have been blowing up parts of the site, on the 14th of August they are going to blow down the 8 large cooling towers all in one go, which will be a record attempt

I remember when they blow the ones near up I think it was in the 80s. It's a B&M now!

Is it like the stupidity here in Victoria where they shut down the power station before they have something to replace it with?

Ours imploded, no one could have their windows open for weeks.

Not sure but they will cordon off homes and roads for a few miles

They should have given Sweep [Keith Marsh] from a Clean Sweep his last job to spruce them up for their big day , the wedding business has fallen flat so it would also be a last big payday for him
