Remember this anyone

When we moved just over a year ago there was a small shop at the end of our road - mostly an off licence - but they had some basic food items. Walking distance (for me), rather then the Co-op the other end of the village. We nicknamed it the 'inconvenience store' as it was tiny, cramped, and 'fresh' items looked out of date. It closed soon after, but only due to the landlord increasing the rent!

A lot of these shop were turned into something else, I know the ones on our old street one was turned into a house and the other a cob shop. They were tiny with mostly tin food, cereals, cleaning products, beers wines spirits They usually had dairy products and potatoes and a great choice of sweets and chocolates in jars that you could buy 2oz from. Toiletries too and tobacco, those places were like the tardis because they were tiny inside but totally packed with everything you could possibly want.

The corner shop where I grew up was one of those tiny TARDIS's. I passed there recently - I've moved away since childhood - It's expanded in to the shop next door and is now owned by Mr Alan Round. It's now called "Shop A-ROUND the clock"!
