I like watching xmas specials in heatwaves, helps me not to desend into dispare and to remember the cold dark wet days will soon be back. Obviously it would be better without all the xmas cheer and nonsense but we can't have everything

Got my new hearing aids yesterday, first new ones since 2011. To say I was impressed would be the understatement of the century. To keep this thread short I think it would be easiest if I say that the only thing these new ones CAN'T do...

I spend the most evening time listening to music. I have been known to look at the news (via browser). I do also have an enormous DVD/BlueRay library of TV Shows/Movies and most importantly, music videos.

Nor have I. Been immersed in reading mysteries, instead. The loss of interest seems to date from the 8 weeks in a nursing home with a heavy dose of IV antibiotic twice daily. The antibiotic turned out to be ototoxic, and my hearing...
