HNY to everyone.
Constantly raining all last night (Cheshire) and this morning woke up to find a majority of the roads around here under water. I hope it hasn’t been too bad for you elsewhere in the UK although I know parts of North Yorkshire and Derbyshire have been particularly wet.
Apologies if it’s been mentioned before but an amusing scene in the above drama on TPTV when Howard turns up repairing a puncture on his bicycle. It seems he also had a thing about them all those years ago.
We have just spent a few days up in North Yorkshire( Bedale). Last weekend the weather (thankfully) was lovely after a bit of a wild week beforehand.
Warm during the day but very cold in the evening which meant as there wasn’t much artificial light the stars were very visible.

I have a new favourite chippy.
We have just got back from a camping trip in Little Hucklow in the Peak District. While we were there we visited Tideswell and after a few sherries we visited Elliot’s Chippy which during all of my other visits over the years has been closed.

It had been a while since we visited Holmfirth so off we went today. Managed to dodge any traffic en route so only took 50 minutes. We had a great wander around….and a brew at Sid’s.

Well I can feel that things are starting to move in the right direction as I’m not coming home in the dark now and get about 30 minutes of late daylight before it goes dark(4.50)

While out walking the woof locally this afternoon I had a look around the old Victorian bottle tip and picked up a few that were lying about. Whoever is digging it is obviously after the really rare one’s as there’s hundreds of less valuable (£5-20)ones just lying around on the surface. I...
