    Summer Wine roads.

    Looking on the Members Map I see quite a few of our American cousins have long straight roads in their locality. Summer Wine country has plenty of short, winding, hilly roads. I recall talking to some of a Welsh valley coach party outside Sid's Cafe. Even they thought it was hilly.

    She only did a few trips to LOTSW filming with Eli & only dropped Smiler off once but she saw Eli at the nursing home. Smiler enjoyed talking about pottering in the garden of the house he rented whilst here.

    Sussex born Danny O'Dea died in a Hartshead, Yorkshire nursing home on 16 April 2003 aged 91. My neice had accompanied him from the nursing home for some LOTSW filming. They dropped Smiler off on their way back, she described both of them a gentlemen & a joy to be with.

    Welcome. Yorkshire is the largest county in England but Tennessee is 8 times larger than it. Nearly all of the LOTSW was filmed in a small area of the West Riding of Yorkshire. If you look on Google Earth or Members Map you will see the small area.
