The pilot aired on BBC1, its a credit to all involved that the show is still loved by millions of people after all that time, thanks Last of the Summer Wine for making my life so special.

Here here as well. It's a testament to how well the show has stood the test of time and how it will resonate with generations to come. If I had to make a top 10 list of favorite episodes, "Of Funerals And Fish" would rank in there somewhere. I've always been curious to know if the show was recognized by the Guinness Book Of World Records for its longevity as a sitcom? As far as I know, it still holds the distinction of being the world's longest-running sitcom ever. In my humble opinion, it should still be on the air, and shame on the BBC for pulling the plug on Roy Clarke's masterpiece.
