An interesting picture of Bamford's in Holmfirth, what a hive of activity the place must of been

I think all the northern mill towns were hives of activity. Also the villages all had there own bits of industry going on. In my enclave there were 11mills in a 2 mile radius during the 1960's. They were all with in a walking distance. Sadly there are about four complexies left standing with small buisnesses run from them.
