Blamire for Who Made a Bit of a Splash in Wales Then?

Anyone else think if Michael Bates was well enough and wasn't in pain suffering with cancer the episode would have been a good opportunity to meet Blamire again with the widow who he courted?

Oswerty is close to the Welsh Border.

Don't get me wrong it's a classic episode and fantastic, but what IF

Yes, that would make a good story. It was a good episode but the idea of Foggy having a lady friend for just one episode didn't make sense.

I'd like to have seen Foggy meet him but I think Compo might just taken piddle out of him for finding love. I'd also like to know if the Fairisle socks made it back from the cleaners.

Compo did miss Blamire though, deep down, he was gutted when he left, sure he'd be happy to have seen him again

I can't help thinking the episode was written with Blamire in mind, instead of Foggy.
Admittedly this was Series 4, and the last six episodes of Series 3 WERE written with Blamire in mind.
I suppose in Series 4 the Foggy character still had few final stages of development left.
