For those who do not live in Britain firstly an explanation :- we have a radio program called "Desert Island Discs". A Guest chooses 8 favourite pieces of music to take on a desert island, a favourite book and a luxury item of no practical use, they are also asked if something happened and they could only save one piece of music which would they choose . So, if you change disc into episodes, and a book into a LOTSW Character !
My 8 are (at the moment as I haven't managed to see all the series yet !!)
1. Getting Sam home, 2. Ballard for wind instruments and canoe 3. The changing face of rural Blamire 4. The man from Oswestry 5. A merry heatwave 6. the flag and its snag 7. Full steam behind 8. How to clean your pipes.
I would save "Getting Sam home"
A favourite character to take with me : - Norman Clegg
Luxury item :- Sids Café

Anyone that knows me by now knows when doing a top episodes list I just can't keep it narrowed down. Also, my top 8 may fluctuate weekly or even daily. When coming up with this list I started with 16. Then I narrowed it to 8.

What is surprising, is to see me agree with Susan a good bit!

I really think the Seymour and Truly years were really great and solid, but I guess when it comes down to it, most of the absolute best episodes tend to be with Foggy (especially the first run).

Chuck, it was hard not putting the Flag and Snag episodes in here.
Darren, I wanted to show respect to the Hobbo years by choosing Good Night Sweet Ferret.
But these episodes just didn't made it to the very top.

I would take Compo as he would just make me laugh with his antics

I havent seem all the episodes but here are my top 5 which match some of yours.

1. Barry the Psychopathic killer but only part time.
2. Gnomes.
3. Full Steam Behind.
4. The man from Oversby. (not sure of spelling)
5. Yours Truly if your not careful.
Character I would want with me would be Wesley. I loved his positive attitude despite his failures...

My favorite spot would be Cleggy's.
