If you look at the Summerwine Map on the Home Page Menu that Terry [Maltrab] diligently produced, all the quay bridges are marked on there . As its based on the Google Maps site it will show you the map scale so you will get an idea of the distance and direction from Standedge Visitors Centre.

I remember Thora Hird from In Loving Memory would threaten her nephew Billy that he needed some bromide in his tea when she thought he got too frisky for his own good. Seemed like she kept a tin of the stuff on the mantle piece.

Had to look up what she was referring to. Seems it is potassium bromide. Some sites say it was put in soldier's tea around WWII to reduce libido. Others say it was a myth. Must have been something if it was known enough to be put in a TV show as a common reference.

Sounds like Pearl could have used a jug of the stuff for Howard.
