If you are in the US, most Panasonic DVD players can be
easily hacked to be region free (as in, they will then play
discs from all regions) by simply entering a numeric
code. There are web sites that will show you how.

I have three Panasonic decks and one Pioneer deck that
all play anything. I bought the Pioneer online from a
source that sells decks already converted to region free.

Surely you mean "Most Philips ..."

Not sure about the Panasonics, but the Philips
DVD players are notable for their hack-ability.
