Was Herman Teasdale/Moreton Beamish a worthwhile character?

I remember Ade Edmondson from The Young Ones. Great show back in the day, laughed a bunch to it in my youth. Heard he married Jennifer Saunders. Talk about a laugh a minute couple. I bet they would be great fun to hang out with.
 
It doesn't stop with those two, their daughter Beattie is also a comedic actor and starred in three series of Josh which stars Josh Widdicombe , who started out as a stand up comedian [very good saw him a couple of years back] and Jack Dee who is also a stand up comedian, actor and presents one of my favourite Radio shows I'm Sorry I Haven't a Clue . He is absolutely brilliant as the host and has a great dry sense of humour . Currently series 71 is airing on BBC Iplayer Radio there are six episodes if you can get access to it Rick its a must to listen to.
