Indistinct phrase in Spring Fever

Now that I've been given some pointers, I think it's 'Just before, I shouldn't wonder'.
Pearl definitely heard the last word prior to the comma as 'before', and Nicko heard an 's' in the phrase. I'm hearing what Pearl and Nicko heard, as well as a hard consonant sound at the end of the first word, and now I'm picking up three syllables in that phrase. 'Just' is the only word I can think of that fits what everyone has reported hearing.
