You narrowed it down so much it made it relatively easy now. Brian Peck is in the episode an Apple a Day he plays Bert on the farm when the team go to take the old people out for the day and he has Truly/Clegg hold the chickens while he cleans out the barn, he also read a story on Jackanory . I have to thank you for extending the thread across several pages it was an interesting chase especially as I thought I got the answer with Bernard Cribbins in the first reply , well done.
