You could say he got around a bit!In the early episodes the man with the little red sportscar also played the milk round supervisor in a later episode
I noted that Peter Levy from Look North also got a couple of scenes in SOAHYesterday was the 50th anniversary of the first episode of Open All Hours , nice little tribute on BBC Breakfast from Graham McCann and the presenter of Look North in Yorkshire who had interviewed Sir Roy some years ago and is a huge fan . At the conclusion of the interview he had asked Sir Roy to let him have a small role as an extra and deliver a line .
He got his wish some years later when he appeared in Still Open , the episode where they had the oversized stuffed mouse which got wet . Granville has Leroy hold it by the tail and spin around to dry it . Leroy lets go and it hits a cyclist knocking him of the bike , the Look North presenter was the Cyclist . He had an anecdote, on the first take David Jason was directed to walk around him but suggested it would be funnier if he stepped over the Cyclist to get the Mouse which he did and it made a far funnier scene.
