Lets see your cars

My first car was an Austin Maestro bought it on a Saturday morning, took a spin in it on the Saturday afternoon to the Gateshead Metro Shopping centre by early evening and the close of the Centre I was on the Eye in the Sky as the perpetrator of a huge traffic jam at the Centre with people leaving the car park backed up behind me at a pinch point in the road leading to all routes from the Centre. The clutch cable had snapped and I couldn't move , so so embarrassed by the whole episode.

I have a thing for old mopeds. Easy to work on and great to pootle about on a Summers day.
I used to put them on the back of the campervan.
I sold the red one the other year but have regretted it ever since and have been casually looking for something else recently.
I’ve still got a little et4 for nipping to the shops and commuting to work.E133B4B8-6633-4574-83A4-D882FD32C628.jpegD46FC89B-129E-4AE0-A11B-2F3C81964099.jpegCF8DA988-7837-431D-84D8-8E4956E4A69F.jpeg

Seeing the scooter reminds me of a close friend whose retirement present to himself was a Lambretta , he dressed mod like for years without owning the Scooter. So he bought it had huge plans ended up tootling to his local shop buying his daily loaf of bread , putting it under the seat and tootling back home. After a year deciding he wasn't going to tear up the highway he has just sold it.

Fair do's CC that looks like a really smart first car, do you ever remember the Maestro Vanden Plas, it was really cutting edge from what I can remember with a computer voice on board!?

Hello. I don't drive, so can't add much to the conversation in that regard! XD But perhaps a few of you might be interested in seeing some classic cars, buses, motorbikes and especially steam powered vehicles - in this slideshow video I made. I love the style of classic cars and buses, it seems. XD

These were favourite cars I have owned; a Peugeot 106 GTI and a Celica 2.0 GTI. The Celica was an old car when I bought it but it was a dream to drive. I've never had a better drivers car before or since.
The Irish reg. set-up as on the Peugeot reads 97 is the year, the county where the car is registered is next, using the first and last letter of the county, Wicklow in this case and then the last letters is the 3479th car registered in the county that year.

I can't but had it been that one I drove then would the Computer have stated sorry your clutch cable has snapped you may face some animosity from other drivers you will experience high levels of verbal abuse and the V signs you witness are nothing to do with Victory.

I used to have a picture of that very same Celica when I was a kid on my bedroom wall. It was the same colour as yours on a black background, I still think it is one of the most beautiful looking cars ever made. Didn't they do a 3 litre V6 version too?
