Got a chuckle the other day while shopping at my local Lidl that made me think of the comedy show Red Dwarf. Saw an "Automatic Drink Mixer" which looked like a clear coffee pot that had a stirrer mechanism in the lid. Then on the other side of the store was a second style of "Automatic Stirrer." This one in a tripod design that sat within a cooking pot.
Upon seeing the first one I immediately thought of the Red Dwarf episode with the "StirMaster" (s10e1-Trojan) that Lister was on hold throughout most of the episode while calling in to the All-Droid Shopping Channel. It's commercial tagline "The average person who lives to their 90's and has six cups of coffee per day spends over two weeks stirring drinks! Think of what you could do with that time... two weeks stirring or two weeks skiing!"
I looked at the boxes but could not see how either of them were powered. They said nothing of needing batteries, if rechargeable or windup. All I could think of was Susan Earl as Sim. Crawford stirring Lister's coffee.
<makes skiing related 'woosh' sounds>
