My Holmfirth Pictures

Great photos Louise hope you are enjoying your visit so sad that Peter Sallis's grave is so stark he deserves due reverence for all the pleasure he brought to millions as Cleggy and the Voice of Wallace amongst other shows but either the family or he himself clearly decided that he would be buried without any fuss.

Yes, I really enjoyed the holiday. I'm back at home now. I put the fridge magnet on Peter Sallis's grave - I thought that it would be more waterproof than a picture!
I too think that Peter should have a proper headstone but I'm really glad that he's buried next to Bill Owen.
 
Thanks for the lovely pictures Louise, I'm due to stay in Holmfirth next year, do you mind if I asked where you stayed and can you recommend it? I want a base I can see many of the filming locations from
 
I stayed at The Old Bridge Hotel. It's right in the centre of Holmfirth. It's very close to Sid's cafe and Nora and Compo's house.
