I finally found it, Dick. It was in "Flower Power Cut." Clegg sits in the middle of the road to tie his shoe when the hearse comes flying over the hill. Later Clegg says in the cafe, "Do you realise, there up the hill, that's the first time that Murdoch's ever passed us without raising two fingers?"

You are probably right Marianna, they carry Howard home in the hearse .Frightening Pearl on the way .When she asks where Howard is the answer comes "" He's outside in the 'earse !""

However I think I may be right as well! Barry is drunk in his Santa suit in the back of the hearse and sits up at the wrong moment causing a passing motorist to drive off the road !
