National Treasure

Just watched an extremely funny clip of the great Sean Lock on eight out of ten cats where Jimmy Carr asks the usual have you got a mascot question. Sean says that as a national treasure he has been asked by the Government to adjudicate on what celebs should be a National Treasure and which should not [he has a few photos and some huge yes and no stamps .

First up Ed Sheeran who is a No because Sean says he dyes his hair, he really has jet black hair and dies it ginger for sympathy, he knows because he's seen his bath Greg Wallace is a No but came close because of the irony he wears a hairnet on Inside the Factory despite being bald is he frightened his baldness is going to get in the crisps but he doesn't get in because he'd met him on Masterchef and Greg put his spoon in his pudding it took hours to prepare.

I thought it would be a bit of fun for people to say a yes or no to LOTSW characters or others and to try an give a funny reason why they gave a yes or no.

Start everyone off with Seymour , it's a NO from me as yes he is good at inventing things but he is always cute enough to ensure he is never at the sharp end in the dangerous end of the invention instead poor Compo and Clegg get it in the neck.

Compo - yes - he kept his turf accountant in business for years, showed affection to those who normally instilled fear, was tested more than a pilot and if trousers were anything to go by had a holier than thou nature.

I would say that only Compo and Clegg would qualify as national treasures.

It's funny yer know......we all ADORE Compo......but to the majority of non Summer wine fans [how can there be people allowed to exist in society like that !!!???] the most famous character is......."OWER NORA"......because everyone knows about her WRINKLED STOCKINGS !!!!.....so maybe to some people she is so well known to so many that they consider her a national treasure ????????.......
