I think for some time it has been a proper curtain in the windows as opposed to netsClearly from the age of Net Curtains, I can imagine with all the fat in the air they would need to be washed regularly. Interestingly in the show and now [I think] there are an array of Curtains covering half the window for privacy but to me , especially net curtains, are just dust gatherers. Most modern cafe's have abandoned the idea of using them and have completely "open" windows but with the added issue, of course, of Customers being gorped at.

You could buy a kit, came with net curtains, glass ear shaped tumbler and note pad, now it's an electronic listening device with recording functions and doorbell camera that swivels. Ain't progress grand. For many years net curtains were favoured by most ladies as ideal camouflage to hide their covert spying on "Mrs Jones next door"

Not sure I will ask aroundAnyone know when the cafe became a REAL cafe in real life?
It seems the outside of the 'cafe' was painted white in real life during Series 6, could it have been then?
I am informer it was early 80's which would tie in with series 6 filming, before that it was a paint store which was dressed as the Cafe for filming the outsideAnyone know when the cafe became a REAL cafe in real life?
