Well sort of Nurse Gladys cut her finger opening the window , she may not be the most petite but Arkwright would surely affectionately refer to her , had he been a Scouser , as " M-M_M-Me B-B-Bird!!"

I think the reason she 'moved house' was that when the filming crew returned for Series Two, they discovered that the original house had been rendered, and didn't look at all right. They needed a brick house.

Well, I looked up "render" and the definition was to provide or give a service. So I assume that the house had a makeover of some sort and failed to satisfy the show's producer.

House rendering is coating the house in usually plaster over the bricks.
