Old Movies.

Well he ain't no Cowboy in the Quiet Man and it is such a great film I would just put up with it [or decant some of the creamy milk on his napper if he persists with the shouts]

It doesn't matter what the film is, he says in the WW2 ones too. We just watched The Fog, I remember it scaring the bejesus out of me when it first came out but watch it now all we did was laugh, the "special effects " and I use that term loosely where hilarious.

Hi, Pearl. How about these for you and your grandson:
- 'The Birds' by Alfred Hitchcock
- '20,000 Leagues Under the Sea' by Jules Verne
- Plan 9 from Outer Space

Spy movies for you, if you have not seen already:
- North by Northwest
- Where Eagles Dare - Richard Burton, Clint Eastwood. (One of my all time favs)
- Ronin
- The Ipcress File - Another Micheal Caine classic.
- La Femme Nikita

The Birds is a brilliant film and yes I think he'll love that, thank you for reminding me about that. .Not sure he'd like North Bu Northwest but I do love a Cary Grant.
20,000 leagues is legendary.
So is the Ipcress Files.
Not a Eastwood fan but you've given me a some good ideas for a Hitchcock series.

Him in doors keeps going on about a film that he can't remember the name of, the scene he remembers is a group of people standing in Stone Henge being sucked up by an alien spaceship! Can anyone shed any light on that?

Well, we have the original Stagecoach with the Duke running. One of the first or the first where he's a true and true Cowboy. It's a nice film, a nice Western. Well, other than the fact that they adroitly dance around the fact that the Colonel's wife is, oh my, (can't say that word) with the doctor suddenly getting busy and then suddenly, there's a baby. Then there is the Cowboy vs. Indian theme with a little romance thrown in and of course, the stagecoach. And much like LOTSW, the stagecoach travels through the great vistas, the mesas, the canyons of the West.
