Someone Cannot Count

So it does, but it still does not add up in quantity compared to the old can

Why not?
The old can is 300ml.
The new can is marked 275ml at the bottom, with an extra 25ml at the top. Add together, 300ml.
Both cans are the same size.

They are both 300ml cans. One is marked 275ml at the bottom, but they've included the extra 25ml at the top. They have made it look like a 275ml can, with a make-belief 25ml 'stuck on top'.

So they must do a smaller 275ml can as well, which you don't have.
I would therefore expect the two cans that you have to be about the same price, in normal circumstances.
And a smaller 275ml can (which you don't have) to be cheaper, in normal circumstances.
Or have I misunderstood?

English translation but not shown on the tin... 275ml instead of 250ml.
Did you buy it from Aldi?

Just seen the smaller print near the top.
So it should be a 250ml can, with an extra 25ml, making the 275ml as stated at the very bottom.
But they still use a 300ml can, for only 275ml?

Well, they can't use a regular 250ml can, can they? Obviously not.
So do they make do with a 300ml can, and only put in 275ml?
Or, do they actually just fill it up to 300ml, if it's easier for them?

You just know this is going to develop into a conversation on the size of Mars bars and Wagon Wheels today...

I guess it's all down to what you paid. If you got 275ml for the price of a 250ml can, then you've got a bargain, but if you got 275ml for the price of a 300ml can, then you've been conned.
