As for buying multiples of the same item, it is food with mine. If we don't watch it we have to throw out stacks of perishables.

I am still using up shower gel over five years later that was bought ... Have given some away but I reckoned there was at least twenty years worth in the cupboard when she went into care! Also had about sixty lip salves, mainly unopened or if opened, unused! And more such like. I think we also had over ten plain black handbags - bt then I read today that manbags are the latest 'must have' accessory for the well dressed man. I do have one actually, it is called a brief case!

Most shower gels can be used for other purposes such as hand laundry and/or bathroom and kitchen cleaners, etc. Also if they have not passed their expiration date, can the shower gels and lip salves be given away or donated? Would Oxfam take unopened, not-past-the-expiration-date items?
