Just seen on TV and on news sites that TalkTalk is under a "serious" cyber attack, potentially putting customers personal details at risk.
http://www.wired.co.uk/news/archive/2015-10/22/talktalk-down-email-outage
and:
From BBC:
Police are investigating after a "significant and sustained cyber-attack" on the TalkTalk website, the UK company has confirmed.
The phone and broadband provider, which has over 4 million customers in the UK, said credit card and bank details could have been accessed.

What really intrigues me is the statement the TalkTalk person made on BBC yesterday about them calling in cyber security experts to help deal with the attack, for pity sake! they are an internet service provider and telefonic service provider, surely they should already have cyber security personel?! or do they just set there hacked copy of zone-alarm to 'medium' and hope for the best........:39:

Makes me think I should go back to cocoa cans and string ....

cheaper, simpler but also fewer callers.

If I get in most of the messages are about PPI telling me to press 9 to cancel their calls. Does not work on answerphone!

So now we have something even more curious.
Those three or four TalkTalk customers that gave interviews this morning, saying their bank accounts had been cleared, only to hear now that because the hack wasn't as serious as originally thought, that could not possibly have happened. Not enough of anyones details were accessed.
Egg on the face.... a whole bloody omellete in my opinion! Somebody was telling porkies.
