"That men there...or there...?"

Here's a poser for January for you...

When you think about things do you see, the exit and reintroduction of Foggy aside from his run, as one continuous stretch of episodes with him as third man or two distinct eras of the show. Admittedly the supporting cast of the extended Pegdens, Auntie etc hadn't been there first time around but do you think there are any of his second batch that belonged in his earlier run or vice-versa?

The Loxley Lozenge has a feel of the early 90s episodes - because Wesley is in it.

(Is that the kind of thing you mean?)

And Welcome To Earth has a mid 80s feel to it - probably because of the night scenes.

Foggy had noticeably changed in age appearance by the second run. More of a kindly old man type character compared to his earlier time.

Definitely 2 different eras first Foggy was less annoying, still full of tall tails but I think more practical second Foggy was more fanciful and ridiculous in his meranderings.

Clegg changed too but I think it was less noticeable because he was there constantly whereas Foggy had a gap so his chanced were more noticeable.

That's exactly what I mean, thankyou. :)

Night filming slowed right down in the later years so I can see where you're from there...mainly because I eat giant carrots in the dark! ;)

I'm guess decorating eggs in Bridlington has the effect of you always walking on eggshells therefore you're like to crack any minute and over there he'd be the local yolk!

Clegg however as you say was subtly altered over time instead.
